Upgrading your notebook/laptop and/or mini PC with our innovative SO-DIMM (Small Outline Dual Inline Memory Module) memory technologies increases the performance noticeably with every application.

 

The RAM memory, colloquially known as RAM (the English abbreviation for Random Access Memory), is the short-term memory (volatile data storage) of your PC system and acts as an interface between the processor (CPU) and the built-in hard drive (e.g. SSD). The data of all running processes of the currently open programs/applications are temporarily stored in the main memory. If several applications are open at the same time, the main memory can quickly reach its capacity limits and data can only be made available slowly / with a time delay.

 

As soon as you shut down your notebook/laptop, all data temporarily stored in the main memory are automatically deleted or the RAM is emptied.

How much memory / RAM is required?

 

4 GB of RAM

Sufficient for occasional work on the PC such as office applications, e-mails, or for surfing the Internet

 

8 GB of RAM

For more frequent work on the PC, several applications open at the same time such as Office, ERP, email, and the Internet

 

16 GB of RAM

For working on mobile workstations with computationally intensive programs such as CAD, image, and video processing

 

32 GB RAM and more

For extreme gaming, intensive image and video editing, and virtual machines

 

RAM memory is an FRU (Fiel Replaceable Unit) assembly and can easily be exchanged on-site without having to send it to the manufacturer or to a specialist workshop. You can find detailed instructions for replacing the main memory in the user manual of your notebook.
